Are all bad boys REALLY bad?
Why are some women attracted to the “bad boys,” who happen to be dirty and sometimes rough-looking? The fact is that we’re all attracted to different qualities in a man, be it physical or emotional: Short, tall, skinny, buff, bald, long-hair, funny, sweet…you get the idea. I think what attracts us to bad boys is the challenge of being with him. Some women simply love the thrill and drama. Some like it because they’ve always wanted to do something rebelious.
Whatever our individual reasons are, most of us are there or have been there. Fact: Dating a bad boy is very unpredictable. You might be on a date with him and as he’s holding your hand and walking down the street, he suddenly pulls you into a dark street corner and kisses you. Ther’s something about that moment that keeps your heart racing.
There’s actually nothing wrong with dating a guy that looks like a bad boy but treats you like a good guy should. This is the difference that I want us to focus on. Its cute when he takes you out on his motorcycle or when he keeps his hair long and glances at you once in a while from under it. But does he stiff you with the bill at dinner? Does he call you when he should? Is he truly a “bad” person? Sure the thrill and spontaneity is there but when all that goes away, is there a nice guy under that skin?
And, oh yeah, are you trying to marry him? Cos this might be a little tough to do. Most bad boys don’t wanna get married anytime soon so you might also want to consider what you want out of this relationship. If you’re simply there for the excitement, then you have my blessing! If you’re trying to change him, I hope you take disappointment well…
