If he’s NEVER there for you…
Simone called me on a thursday evening as I was preparing to have dinner and (maybe catch a movie) with the girls. She was upset and was telling me that her car broke down and she had to get a tow-truck to take it to her mechanic and all that. Problem was that she also needed a car for the next day to get to work.
Well, Simone’s man, Quincy, had a second car he was willing to let her borrow however, he was NOT willing to come pick her up. This is where I came in. Simone wanted me to come pick her up so I could take her to her boyfriend’s place…so she could get the extra car…and THEN I could return to my dinner (which would be absolutely too late by then anyway!). Of course, I had to ask! Why can’t Quincy come pick you up?! “Well, he’s had a very long day at work and needs to rest up for tomorrow. Plus, I live too far away for him…”
After the inevitable battle between us over HOW the hell her man couldn’t be there for her in her time of need, I finally decided we were getting nowhere and so went to pick her up so I could take her to Quincy’s and then go to bed (as dinner was no longer an option…yes, I was also upset I didn’t get to eat and relax!).
So of course, the whole ride there, she’s giving me 1000 reasons why he couldn’t do this favor for her…I didn’t really want to cut her any slack because she failed to see my reasoning behind this! Girl, if her ma n can’t be there for her when her car breaks down but he’s willing to be there (I’m sure about this!) when he’s horny, then there’s a MAJOR problem here! Why, o why, would you let a guy sleep with you whenever he wants to but then turn his back on you when u need him?!
If he’s never there for you, please stop making excuses for him! I believe you deserve better…Don’t you?
