My Personal Hero…
Ok, so maybe he’s not on a white horse and in shining armor…however, its the little things that count!
So, last night, I was sitting on the couch…on facebook (I believe). All of a sudden, my eye caught something tiny moving on the living room floor. I sharply glanced and my worst fear was confirmed—It was a ROACH! Ok, anyone that knows me slightly is aware that insects are definitely my phobia (well, let’s maybe add “Heights” to that too). I freaked out, hopped on the couch, and managed to get the words out ”its a roach.”
My fiance sprang out of his seat and calmly picked up the Raid and a broom. He basically got the nasty roach and killed it. I almost blacked out…a few seconds later, I burst into tears. Nope, I’m not kidding! I couldn’t even cry at a funeral but I cried over a stupid roach! He knew that I wouldn’t be satisfied till he did something to reassure me that we didn’t have roaches and this one found its way into the house only because “someone” (me) kept leaving the patio door open.
Well, after this incident, we drove to the store together and he purchased this powdery thing that helps you vacuum better…and a couple of more cleaning products that repel insects. We got home and he thoroughly vacuumed the entire house and then took me out for dinner. By the time the night was over, I had basically calmed down and all was well in the universe again, lol.
Now, I know some of you are thinking this was not a big deal whatsoever but the reason I am appreciative is because he tried to make me as comfortable as possible. He could’ve simply killed the roach and called it a day. But he went beyond that to make me happy.
